GALA Opening Reception
Kick-off the summer season with a celebration of Rudelle's Storybook School, Truro’s acclaimed and much loved school founded and run by Ms Rudelle Falkenburg.

Art work of former students, tin toy, dollhouses, and lunchboxes, will be on display.

Warren Falkenburg’s antique toys and hand-made doll houses will be staged in the main gallery of the historic Highland House Museum.

Since its beginning (in Provincetown) in early 1970, this school has nurtured/taught Outer Cape preschoolers from September to June and provided outstanding drama and arts programs for five to ten year olds during the summer months. This unique exhibit will feature almost forty years of photographs, memorabilia, and art produced by the legions of children fortunate to enroll in “Miss Rudi’s” marvelous school.

As part of the exhibition, we wish to invite all current and former students (or their parents) to loan example(s) of their artwork created during their time at Rudelle’s school. Please mat or mount and label all submitted artwork to insure safe return at the close of the exhibit.

The Highland Museum will receive this work on 5/18, 5/19, and 5/28, from 10am to 12 noon. Call Museum Director Deborah Minsky at (508) 487-0683 or (508) 487-3397 if further information is needed about art submissions.
